Who we are

What we collect

• Quote requests: your name, email, phone number, project address, project type, the message you write and any photos or drawings you attach.
• Project records: for clients, the contract, invoices, payment records, site photos, permit and inspection documents, and notes about the property.
• Email and phone contact: what you send us directly.
• Technical data: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for security and to keep the site running.

We do not sell personal information and we do not buy contact lists.

Why we use it

• To reply to your request, visit the site, prepare a quote and run the project.
• To apply for permits and book inspections, which requires sharing the property address and owner details with the City of Calgary or the relevant municipality.
• To coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, who receive only what they need to do their part of the work.
• To keep accounting, tax, warranty and legal records, and to meet the record keeping rules that apply to contractors in Alberta.

Where the information is stored

The website is hosted by Netlify, and quote requests sent through the form are stored in our Netlify account. Netlify and other service providers we use may store data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. Project files are kept in [Owner note: name the storage you use, for example Google Workspace or Microsoft 365].

How long we keep it

Quote requests that do not become projects are deleted after [24 months]. Client project records are kept for as long as warranty, tax and legal obligations require, then securely destroyed.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask how it has been used, and ask us to correct it. Send the request to info@seladevelopments.ca. We respond within the time PIPA allows. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact theOffice of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Security

We limit access to personal information to the people who need it to do their work, use password protected accounts, and use encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this website.

We update this page when our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
